NewSouth Books moves to ADS for distribution in Australia and New Zealand

NewSouth Books and Alliance Distribution Services (ADS) announce that from 1 August 2019, distribution of NewSouth Books titles in Australia and New Zealand will move to ADS, a division of Hachette Australia.

NewSouth Books would like to thank TL Distribution (TLD) for their excellent service and support over the past nine years. The staff at TLD have worked tirelessly to help us develop our business in Australia and New Zealand.

In advance of 1 August, you should send your NewSouth Books’ August new release orders only to ADS at adscs@alliancedist.com.au. Their first August release will be instore on 23 July. Their second August release will be instore on 8 August.

On 31 July all back-orders will be transferred to ADS by TLD.

From 1 August, all orders for NewSouth Books’ titles should be sent to ADS.

Returns

Returns for books invoiced by TLD must be processed by TLD.

We ask booksellers to be aware of the following cut-off dates and plan their returns accordingly, as ADS will not accept returns for books invoiced by TLD.

TLD will cease to issue Return Authorisations on Wednesday, 31 July.

Authorised returns are to arrive at TLD by Monday, 30 September. Books received by TLD too late for processing and/or sent to TLD without an RA will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense so please don’t delay in sending your returns once authorised.

ADS will not accept returns which were not invoiced by ADS. These will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
