B+P is seeking an experienced editor to join its busy team producing the publication’s daily e-newsletters and the Weekly Book Newsletter and book reviews, as well as international and feature article content. This role would suit someone with a background in and understanding of the Australian publishing industry, or an interest in the industry and experience in producing online publications. Please note that the successful applicant will be required to work from home.
The editor will undertake regular commissioning, writing and editing tasks, while working with a small, experienced editorial team.

Key selection criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proven time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative online environment
- Demonstrated background and relevant experience in an editorial role
Will be viewed favourably:
- Experience in bookselling or the book publishing industry
- Experience with WordPress and Mailchimp
