Faber Writing Academy is the creative writing school within Allen & Unwin, Australia’s largest independent book publisher, and is affiliated with Faber & Faber in the UK. The Academy offers courses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and online, and is seeking a part-time manager to program courses and oversee the overall running of the Academy.

The role oversees a small, dynamic team in our Sydney offices, and engages with contract tutors across the country remotely. The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

• Project management experience – the organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Confident communicator and networker
• Experience leading and managing teams
• Budget planning and forecasting
• Experience running courses or events management an advantage
• Understanding of business development, in relation to audience growth, is desirable.
