Hachette announces 2025 Book Haul

Hachette has announced Harry Hartog Carindale as the location for its 2025 Hachette Book Haul.

This is the third iteration of the competition, which will take place on Love Your Bookshop Day 2025, and the first time it will take place in Queensland.

The winner will receive early access to the bookshop where they will have 60 seconds to fill a shopping trolley with as many books as possible.

Hachette marketing and publicity director Alysha Farry said, ‘This event not only delivers bookish fun, but it also celebrates the vital role bookshops play in our communities. Love Your Bookshop Day is about the people, passion, and stories that live inside every bookstore, and we are beyond excited to partner with Harry Hartog Carindale to bring the Hachette Haul experience to Brisbane book lovers this year.’

Harry Hartog Carindale store manager Sophie Wigan said, ‘The Hachette Haul is the dream competition for book lovers and booksellers alike! We can’t wait to see what great picks land in the lucky winner’s trolley!’
