Publishers, submit your titles for the Books+Publishing Christmas Showcase!
Publishers and distributors, we want to hear from you for our Christmas Showcase!
To be considered for inclusion, please submit your strongest local and international books publishing and available in Australia and New Zealand from October to December 2026.
Featured across 9 issues of the daily Books+Publishing newsletter and housed in a dedicated bookseller section on the Books+Publishing website, the showcase will highlight the books booksellers should have on their radar for the Christmas selling season – from major gift titles and breakout fiction to children’s books, commercial blockbusters, literary highlights and essential nonfiction.
Featured categories:
Fiction for adults
1. General fiction: including general women’s fiction, historical fiction, crime, and thriller
2. Genre fiction: romance, romantasy, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and manga
3. Literary: literary fiction, poetry, and anthologies
Children’s
4. Picture books: fiction and nonfiction picture books
5. Junior and middle grade: fiction and nonfiction, including graphic novels
6. Young adult fiction: including graphic novels
Nonfiction for adults
7. Illustrated: food and wine, gardening, art, design, and gift
8. General nonfiction: history, sport, humour, and current affairs
9. Biography and memoir: biography, autobiography, and memoir.
To be considered, publishers and distributors must submit their selections via email to preview@booksandpublishing.com.au by 17 July 2026.
Submissions should include:
- Title and author
- Imprint/publisher
- Publication date
- Nationality of author (Australian or international)
- High-resolution cover image
- Category (choose from the 9 options above)
- One sentence elevator pitch
- Key selling points & comparison titles
- TitlePage link
The Christmas Showcase will begin publishing from the week commencing Monday 3 August.
Submissions will be reviewed by the Books+Publishing team. Due to space limitations, inclusion is not guaranteed.
