Bainbridge appointed Express Media CEO

Express Media has appointed Pippa Bainbridge as its new CEO and general manager.

Bainbridge was previously the company manager and creative producer at La Mama Theatre in Melbourne, and studied arts management at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

In a statement, Bainbridge said she was ‘thrilled’ to be joining an organisation that gave a voice to young writers across the country. ‘I am inspired by the depth and diversity of those voices and look forward to being part of a thriving hub that provides access to opportunities for development and recognises outstanding work,’ said Bainbridge.

Express Media chair John Gillman thanked outgoing CEO and general manager Steve Lamattina ‘for his great contribution to Express Media over the past 18 months’.

Bainbridge commences the role in mid-April.
