Small publisher spotlight: Aulexic

WA-based publisher Aulexic specialises in books for children with language and literacy difficulties, launching its first titles in 2015. ‘Originally, we started as a simple home-school project to encourage my dyslexic son to want to read and write,’ said CEO and publisher Rebecca Laffar-Smith. ‘We worked together to write P.I. Penguin and the Case of the Missing Bottle. I self-published the book using print-on-demand in a standard square picture book format. My son loved it so much he hoped other children would love it too.’ Read our interview with Laffar-Smith here.
