Senior editor, Sydney or Melbourne

Ultimo Press is seeking a diligent and experienced senior editor to join our growing team. Ultimo Press is one of Australia’s most vibrant and exciting publishers, and is home to award-winning and critically acclaimed authors such as Diana Reid, Sulari Gentill, Sophie Cunningham and Shankari Chandran.

As senior editor you will work closely with our authors to finesse and perfect their text, and provide editorial support to our publishing team to ensure that Ultimo Press maintains the highest editorial standards. We are a small team, so the editor will also be involved in design and production processes, and ensure marketing and publicity material adheres to our house style.

In-house or freelance editorial experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be a team player with a keen eye for detail, the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, and exceptional organisational skills. Familiarity with Firebrand or similar bibliographic programs would be a plus.
