Stella
Stella is seeking an energetic and well-organised program manager to oversee the planning and delivery of its full suite of programs, including the annual Stella Prize.
The role requires a keen understanding of the issues in the books and publishing industry, an ability to design strategic projects with demonstrable impact, and exemplary project delivery skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of the annual Stella Prize including judging, author liaison, major announcements, and Award Night event planning
- Deliver Stella’s other initiatives & projects, including the Stella Count, writers’ residencies, and education programs
- Oversee project budgets and plans, liaise with key stakeholders, and support fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Demonstrated relevant experience in the literature sector, including established networks. An understanding of the literary prize landscape is an advantage
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to establish timelines and meet milestones, and troubleshoot
- Proven experience in event planning and project delivery with input from multiple stakeholders
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and build strong relationships.
This is a part-time (0.8FTE), flexible role based at Stella’s office in the State Library Victoria.
